TOURNAMENT: XIV. Vlado Dzurilla Tournament
DATE: February 05 – 07, 2015
LOCATION: Piešťany (86 km north-west of Bratislava)
CATEGORY: Players born 1997 and younger (Team: GER U18, SUI U18, SVK U18)
Players born 1996 and younger (Team: SVK U19)
ELIGIBILITY: Only those players meeting the requirements of the IIHF by-laws are eligible to participate in the tournament. Number of participating players 20 (twenty) players + 2 (two) goalies per team per game.
GAME OFFICIALS: All referees and linesmen will be from Slovakia with the 2014/2015 IIHF license. The referees and linesmen will be nominated and assigned by the Referee-In-Chief of the Slovak IHF.
STATISTICS: There will be statistical service provided by Slovak IHF.
PLAYING FORMAT: The tournament will be played according to the valid round robin rules and regulations of IIHF:
Three point system – For all games points shall be awarded as follows:
3 points for the winning team at the conclusion of regulation time,
1 point for both teams at the conclusion of regulation time if the game is tied,
An additional point earned for the team winning the game in a 5-minute overtime period, or the Game Winning Shots Procedure if the teams are still tied following conclusion of the overtime period,
0 points for the team losing the game in regulation time
GAME REGULATIONS:
If a player is assessed Game-Misconduct he may play in following game. If the same player is assessed the second Game – Misconduct he is automatically stopped for one game. If a player is assessed Match Penalty he is automatically stopped for the following game.
In any case of dispute the Directorate is the decisive body according to the IIHF Statuses and By-Laws in regards of possible penalty increasing.
